Inspire the Spirit

That’s really what inspiration is, right? Something good for the spirit? This post is another roundup of things that have visually stuck with me over the past couple weeks.

Some things are just cool. Some things jump out of the ordinary in your day and force you to stop and smile. Free People’s signage is one of those things:

I love to see unique advertising like this in stores.

Plywood and 2×4’s never looked so… fashionable!

How about this one?

brick details

Those details on the wall. Ooh boy. I snapped this after they opened up the construction zone inside the new Pioneer Endicott flats. Well, “new” but built in the 1800’s.

I definitely didn’t snap this one! Photo credit to www.stonesourceusa.com

Check out this time lapse video. It’s been fun to walk past the progress every day.                                So. Much. Crown. Molding. But it’s really coming along.

I’m so inspired by the transformation. Old brick into modern apartments. This building is a St. Paul landmark where the Pioneer Press newspaper used to be. And did you know it was the first building in the United States to have a glass elevator?

Take that Willy Wonka.

I guess my head’s in an antique place right now. I am so inspired by this key jewelry art.

I really want to try making necklaces like this! Steampunk meets Grandma’s junk drawer.

Alright, last thing.

Joe actually picked this up to go with the door somehow. I’m sensing an overarching theme here: Old meets new. Details and flourishes. I think I feel a craft coming on!

Any ideas what to do with it?

Meanwhile, we’ve been spending a lot of time here.

Menards doors and windows

Working on some new projects. Top secret, of course 😉

We even found ourselves a little project buddy.

How are your projects going?

I’m talking to you:

bathroom tile

I haven’t seen the bathroom yet since it’s been remodeled.

And I’d love to see what you’re concocting with wine bottles next door.

Does your project look anything like these Goodwill treasures? I’m so curious to know what you’re making!

  1. great publish, very informative. I wonder why the opposite
experts of this sector don’t notice this. You must proceed your writing.
I’m confident, you have a huge readers’ base already!

  2. LOL……all my project was drilling a hole in the back of cool booze bottles and inserting the little twinkly lights! But my family did seem to really like them! Not nearly as crafty as your projects!! Keep posting cause I love seeing them all !!
