Hold on!
It’s gonna be a bumpy ride.
These days, we’re trying to get the most out of each summer night. We’re on the lake 2-3x/week and squeezing in any and every outdoor activity possible.
Although I love summer, I love fall just as much and can’t hold back my excitement for all things autumn. Look, the foreign exchange students are already back in my building! Saint Paul Prep School is now in session.
I got the first day of school jitters this morning just seeing them 🙂
Back to summer…
Last weekend we went on Joe’s annual jetski meetup at Lake Pepin. This is no small event. It’s a giant sponsored free ride where people from all over the midwest congregate, rain or shine. Did anyone else think of jet skiing as a competitive sport?! Certainly not me. There’s a niche audience for everything…
I’ve got to say, it’s pretty athletic.
As you can see.
Here are some videos people took of the trip:
Needless to say, we had fun. Joe brought his boat so we made lots of waves for riders.
That’s us in the middle boat.
Here are some highlights:
Joe got to play DJ at the end of the weekend, so he can check that one off his bucket list!
At the end of day 2, I took a nice long nap on the beach. It was great to get out of town and clear my head for a couple days. Just take in the water, wind and waves.
Rest in Peace Grandma. You meant so much to me. It’s hard to believe you’re gone, but we know you are smiling down from a better place.
