Unprocessed October is coming up! And that means a lot of time in the kitchen for me. To help make my life a little easier, I whipped out my recipe book. And to help make your life a little easier, I’m sharing my splash-proof laminated cookbook DIY idea.
If you’re in the market for a last-minute St. Patrick’s Day treat recipe, I’ve got the goods for you. Even better, it involves those cookie cutters you used for Valentine’s Day a few weeks ago. Am I the only one with a cookie problem?…
It’s that time of year again. Any excuse to bake cookies is good enough for me! I don’t know why this holiday has grown on me so, but it has. Probably because of the aforementioned baking opportunity… So my mission this year was to give cookies to everyone.
Something about baking, putting up lights, wrapping presents and listening to Christmas music just puts me in the most relaxed mood. I love seeing everyone slowly settle into the season’s comforts. I’m all about adding layers of decorations, day by day. And I love seeing everyone’s Christmas lights – new ones seem to spring up every night! I found this recipe in our staging cookbook that we used for house showing decor. It’s the Better Homes and Gardens annual recipes 2003 cookbook. It’s fairly easy, and there’s even a surprise filling inside. Hope you enjoy!

If I’m going to eat something unhealthy, I make it count! Since I’m not allowed to bake anything in the kitchen right now, I’ll just pretend I’m able to.
It’s that time of year again. The turkey, the touchdowns, the togetherness. Can you wait?! Well this year is probably not as crazy as last year, but I’m definitely looking forward to whatever tomorrow brings.
Got the urge to bake some cookies for the big T-Day tomorrow? I’ve got two super simple styles for you. They’re both sugar cookies so you don’t even need to use two bowls. How great is that?
A simple bowl will work for cutting out circles. Or if you own a triangle cookie cutter, even better for you! I just have a pizza cutter. And hey, you could even make Santa hats out of some of them!
And by out there, I mean in the back yard. Hey life is what you make it – maybe it’s just a simple pile of hardened dirt, but it’s pretty darn exciting to us. The yard is really coming together! And you may even notice a new addition out there…
This task involved a lot of 2×4’s, H₂O and this:
