Back to the framing storyline! Last we heard from them, they were framing up the roof trusses. Then we zoomed in on our chimney extension operation. It’s so much easier to see things in hindsight.

Stairs Blueprints

We were really blown away by how much space the stairs take up. As you can see in our blueprints above, they take up an entire bedroom from our old floor plan. This shows the existing level.

This is the blueprint for the new level. Everyone asks us if this is going to be a master suite. Yes and no. As you can see there are two bedrooms an a bathroom.

Just in time, we changed our minds to allow for wood stairs rather than carpeted. These are temporary stair treads.

Here is the view when you come up the stairs and turn left to the second bedroom area.

Here is the view out toward the lake, when you walk up and turn right. Not much to see yet, but just wait.

It’s a lonnnggg way down

At the end of each day the crew put the world’s largest tarp over the roof. One of the days, for whatever reason I don’t remember, Joe had to shimmy up there and do it! I couldn’t even watch.

Next up, the rough openings are cut out and in go the windows!
