DIY Laminated Recipe Book
Unprocessed October is coming up! And that means a lot of time in the kitchen for me. To help make my life a little easier, I whipped out my recipe book. And to help make your life a little easier, I’m sharing my splash-proof laminated cookbook DIY idea.
Patio Pillows
Outdoor Pillows
It was about time we decided to set up a patio table on the deck outside our bedroom. And pillows were the most exciting part! It was actually my first project that I had planned, even before we moved from the old house. I had bought fabric weeks before we even moved. Call me crazy, but it was my #1 project idea since May.
There are so many fun and funky patterns of outdoor fabric, why would you buy them from the store? And I think they’re a little overpriced if you buy them from a Target or Home Goods. So I headed to Joanne.com to find a few patterns I liked. Luckily there were many! And a few cute ones in-store too. They were even all 40% off! All I needed to do was buy some stuffing and I used my sewing machine to do the rest.
Mix’n & Match’n
Here’s what I found on my first round of shopping in Joanne.
In love with the geometric one.
I ordered these three on Joanne.com.
House Crush
We have a total crush on this house. Guilty as charged. Joe’s long-time family friends bought a rambler in St. Louis Park Minnesota and completely gutted and remodeled it. The work is amazing! So much attention to detail. The 3,000 or so square foot space feels way more spacious on the inside than expected. That’s how so many rambler renovations seem to be lately. If there’s one word I could use to describe this house it’s “details”. We’ve been there a total of twice now, and took the opportunity to sneak a few pics. 😉 Thanks guys!

Valentine’s Day Roundup
Valentine’s day was already one week ago, but better late than never, right? Last Friday was a work day, even though it should definitely be a national holiday. I’ve come to really like this day. Here’s why.
I got to make some Love Day graphics. Already we’re off to a good start.

Showin’ Some Love
In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, let me share some of the amazingly sweet things Joe does for me on a regular basis:
- Starts my car when it’s cold
- Makes me [the best] homemade soup when I’m sick
- Listens to all my ideas,
evenespecially the crazy ones - Charges my phone first when we’re down to one charger
- Asks my opinion
- Gives me 100+ kisses per day
The list goes on. I’m allowed to brag about him today, it’s in the Valentine’s Day code.
Thanks
Giving Thanks
Thanksgiving has come and gone! Although only one day of the year is officially sanctioned as “Thanksgiving,” we believe in gratitude all year ’round. We’re blessed to have amazing family which we see on a regular basis. Not just once or twice a year.
We started the day bright ‘n’ early with a 5k run. The Run for Raz shirts are in honor of Joe’s aunt who lost her battle with cancer a few years ago. She was a high school track coach, so this year everyone decided to do a 5k on Thanksgiving morning.
