Taking a little breather from the kitchen to attend alllll the baby showers. For a few years it was all the weddings, but now we’re onto the next chapter I guess! Thought I’d share some fun games and ideas for baby showers that are not awkward.
We’ve gone through about 3 demo’s on this kitchen, so I think it’s time to share some design and lighten the mood! We have most of our selections made, not all of them, but the big ones. So here I’ll share what we know for design direction for the kitchen remodel.
This bathroom “refresh” isn’t quite a full remodel, but we made some functional and cosmetic upgrades. Working with existing elements, we made the room feel a lot more fresh and bright. Plus I did a thing, a bold thing, that I absolutelylooove!
This bathroom is a wrap! Going back to our before pictures, the finished product feels like a breath of fresh air. We are so happy with how it turned out, and so are the homeowners. We achieved a functional bathroom and the clean, simple aesthetic they were looking for. And I’m so happy they’ll be able to rent out this mother-in-law suite soon enough. Just in time for the spring market!
Some years we go a little overboard. Other years we keep it simple. I enjoy all forms of holiday cheer, but this year is quite a different one for us.
I know I’m late to the game, but I festivized my front porch just in time for Halloween. I didn’t put much effort into it, but started putting things out that looked fallish, one by one. Not even sure how that firewood got there… I kinda like our house colors, this time of year at least!
The big weekend is here! We’re heading to Running Aces to have ourselves a good time. Rain or shine, we’ll be in the horse barns selling our handmade projects. Here’s a quick before-and-after tutorial of a sofa table I scooped up for $30 (bargained down from $50). There were a few scratches, but nothing a little paint and elbow grease couldn’t take care of.
So here’s the dilemma. We have an eye sore of a floor in the kitchen. And that’s the next big room on our project bucket list. But the entire kitchen overhaul might not happen for awhile, so I’m hoping to paint the floor to make it work in the meantime. I have everything – the paint, stencil, rollers and sealer. But I’m completely torn between two paint options.
It’s official! We’re finished with the movie room. Or at least, finished for now. Truth be told, most of the work was done towards the end of last year, but all the finishing touches took some time. Instead of posting a play-by-play like we did with the big bathroom remodel, this time around we thought it would be fun to do one big reveal.
