This bathroom “refresh” isn’t quite a full remodel, but we made some functional and cosmetic upgrades. Working with existing elements, we made the room feel a lot more fresh and bright. Plus I did a thing, a bold thing, that I absolutelylooove!
This bathroom is a wrap! Going back to our before pictures, the finished product feels like a breath of fresh air. We are so happy with how it turned out, and so are the homeowners. We achieved a functional bathroom and the clean, simple aesthetic they were looking for. And I’m so happy they’ll be able to rent out this mother-in-law suite soon enough. Just in time for the spring market!
It’s always amazing to me how quickly the finishing touches come together in projects. It’s like an iceberg – the hardest part is least gratifying and often hardest to see. Once the plumbing was roughed in and everything structurally was sound, this project started to come together crazy quick.

We’ve broken ground (literally) in the mother-in-law suite and completed most of the demo work. It was a good five hours of work, but actually a ton of fun! We found some very interesting things behind the walls and floor.
