Taking a little breather from the kitchen to attend alllll the baby showers. For a few years it was all the weddings, but now we’re onto the next chapter I guess! Thought I’d share some fun games and ideas for baby showers that are not awkward.
Some years we go a little overboard. Other years we keep it simple. I enjoy all forms of holiday cheer, but this year is quite a different one for us.
The time has come to plan your Halloween costume! Or if you’re like me, you’ve been putting it together since the summer. I always like to keep it a surprise every year, so you’ll just have to wait until next year to see our 2017 Halloween outfits. But here’s our last year’s costume!
The big weekend is here! We’re heading to Running Aces to have ourselves a good time. Rain or shine, we’ll be in the horse barns selling our handmade projects. If you do enough projects around the house, eventually you’ll want to invest in a workbench. It’s not only nice to have a work station, but also helps keep your tools and supplies organized so you’re always ready when a DIY project calls. If you’re caught in an old catch 22 and don’t yet have a workbench on which to build the workbench, never fear – you can probably build this thing on the floor and it shouldn’t take more than a few hours.
Here’s a quick before-and-after tutorial of a sofa table I scooped up for $30 (bargained down from $50). There were a few scratches, but nothing a little paint and elbow grease couldn’t take care of.
July 4th is right around the corner, and we’ve been very busy bees getting things in shipshape condition around here. It’s been a great excuse to get things done around the house! I am decidedly taking a low-key approach to this year’s gathering, but I thought I’d throw some last minute ideas your way in case you need a little extra inspiration.
This project goes down in the books as not a Pinterest fail! In fact, we love the finished product. It was an overall inexpensive, quick and EASY fix for our quirky little kitchen. I’ll tell you some of the tips I learned and show you my stenciling technique below. I’ll also share what to consider before stenciling your own floor, along with some before-and-after pics.
